I've joined this forum in an attempt to find out more information on the WiFi kit 'WAB-GW-GS2011MIZ' that I've purchased and cannot seem to do much with. I can communicate with it using the 'gs2k-flashprogram.exe' program via an FTDI USB-to-UART cable. If I fire up 'Tera Term' using the same cable, baud rate, COM port etc. I cannot get any communications to occur. I've tried pulling up Pin 26 (Program Pin) and it makes no diffference. In fact, it doesn't seem to care about the 'programming pin' at all when using the 'gs2k_flashprogram.exe' program (at least to confirm a connection with). It also seems to not care about the JP1 jumper that selects UART vs SPI. Regardless of this jumper selection, I can still talk via the UART using the 'gs2k...' program. I am using the 'Application Header I/F' (J1). I would expect that since the kits comes pre-programmed that it should talk 'AT' commands via this UART. It certainly should after programming it with the 'SuperBlock_4MB_3_Copy.bin' and 'gs2011_s2w_5.1.5.bin' files. So, can anyone tell me what I have to do with the 'Application Header I/F' pins to get this thing to respond to AT commands? I've tried pulling what little pins that are connected to anything high and low to no avail. Any help would be appreciated!

Ok, I found that I simply had to go to GainSpans (er, Telit's) 'SDK Builder', tell it I want it talk 'UART', and receive a 'correct' build that talks over the UART. It's all working just fine now!
