On 1/25/13 bartddgd asked, “the connector J1 on the uEZGUI_EXP1 has the signals P0[4] and P0[5] on pin 30 and 31 which I’d like to use for CAN (RD2 / TD2). As the board itself doesn’t have a CAN tranceiver mounted I have to somehow connect to these signals with a little adapter board. The schematics show that these signals go from page 1 to page 3 for RD2 and to page 4 for TD2, but I cannot find these signals on page 3 and for 4. Are there any test points connected to these signals that are not shown in the schematics but maybe available on the board?
For the other signals on the J1 connector you explicitly stated “”UNUSED””, but RD2 and TD2 also seem to be connected to nothing else but J1.”

On revision 2 of the uEZGUI-EXP1 these pins aren’t connected to anything:
25, 26, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 46, 47
While it should be possible to solder a wire onto J1, there is probably a place to connect on the uEZGUI itself somewhere for those pins. This depends on which uEZGUI you are using. (and which revision it is)
We are working on some expansion boards that will have break-out connections. I can let you know when they will be available.
One of them should have CAN on it as well. (fully implemented with a transceiver similar to our DK kits)
